Upcoming Matches In Dubai

The New York Cosmos continue their pre-season training in Dubai under the warm and humid climates there. After their 1-0 loss on Thursday, Head coach Giovanni Savarese was quoted as saying:

“We struggled with rhythm against Al Shabab but once we found rhythm, we created some chances. Then we got tired and lost control. It got hot for us having just come off our winter.”

The Cosmos will remain in Dubai to play two more pre-season matches. Gulfnews.com is reporting that the next match for the Cosmos will be Tuesday (3/11) against Al Wasi followed by a match against Emirates Club next Saturday (3/15). The team is expected to leave Dubai the following day. While we continue to struggle with the time difference between here and Dubai, I must admit that it is great to see the team back on the pitch and playing soccer. Opening day is 37 days away- get ready Cosmos Country!

  1. Must be a great expereince for the younger Cosmos players. Again having Emirates Air backing your club is a plus as you can fly first class on their dime and show off their name on the shirts for the news in that country
